3. You've been really curious about shipwrecks lately

Key West has been known to have quite a colorful shipwrecking history. During the 16th and 17th century many ships laden with crew and precious cargo met their untimely demise on the treacherous underwater coral reefs of the island. Till today many of those ships and their booty have not been discovered. You can get a piece of this history at the Key West Shipwreck Museum, which tells the story of Key West's shipwrecking history through enacted plays, complete with actors, costumes, props, sets as well as a lookout tower.

There are many treasures from sunken ships on display like the Isaac Allerton which went under in 1856. You could also check out the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum which exhibits some of the booty recovered by treasure hunter Mel Fisher from the treasure-laden Nuestra Senora de Atocha which sank in 1622.
